ZAHORANSKY Completes Acceptance of Three Machines for DL Medica
ZAHORANSKY has announced the successful acceptance of three of its brush manufacturing systems by DL Medica, a project that brings together technologies for toothbrush, twisted brush and medical brush production within a single manufacturing environment.
The acceptance includes the Z.ORCA 18 toothbrush tufting machine, the Z.SAILFIN twisted brush production system and the M6T-W assembly unit. While each machine serves a different purpose, the combination provides DL Medica with capabilities across several brush categories that continue to see demand in both consumer and medical applications.
Among the machines accepted was the Z.ORCA 18, ZAHORANSKY’s latest-generation one-tool tufting platform for toothbrush production. Designed with a compact footprint, the machine is capable of high-output production while offering manufacturers flexibility through multiple finishing configurations.
The project also features the Z.SAILFIN, an automatic machine developed for the production of twisted brushes, including interdental, medical and mascara brushes. Efficient material utilisation remains a key consideration in twisted brush manufacturing, and the system is designed to reduce filament waste while maintaining consistent production output.
Working alongside the Z.SAILFIN is the M6T-W assembly unit, which automates the welding of medical brushes to plastic handles. Together, the two systems create a streamlined process for the production and assembly of medical brush products.
What makes this installation noteworthy is not simply the delivery of three machines, but the range of applications they cover. From toothbrushes to interdental and medical brushes, the setup demonstrates how manufacturers are increasingly investing in automated solutions capable of serving multiple product segments under one roof.
For the brush industry, projects such as this reflect a broader trend toward integrated production environments where automation, efficiency and production flexibility go hand in hand. As manufacturers continue to balance productivity requirements with quality expectations, investments in specialized yet complementary technologies are becoming increasingly important.
ZAHORANSKY thanked the DL Medica team for its cooperation throughout the project and expressed its appreciation for the trust placed in the company. The successful acceptance marks another completed installation for the German machinery specialist, whose technologies continue to be widely used across the global brush manufacturing sector.
